OUR MISSION
Huds Heart was founded when our son, Hudsyn, was diagnosed with a single ventricle heart defect before he was born. We knew as a family we would face months of inpatient at Children's Healthcare as well as many open-heart surgeries. We were lost and felt so alone.
We knew after fighting Hud's fight that we wanted to share Hud's story and his purpose. We never wanted to let another heart family face a life changing diagnosis like this alone. Whether you've just received a CHD diagnosis, or you have been a heart family for years-- Huds Heart is here for you. It is our passion to walk alongside other heart families that are faced with similar diagnoses like our Hud. We strive to give faith-based guidance and support to those families in need.
Our vision
At Huds Heart, it is what we would say is our calling to walk alongside families enduring the loss of a loved one. Our vision is to ensure that during this loss, you don't worry about what's next but you are able to be present for the time you won't get back. We offer in person services to local families that are facing the unimaginable. From miscarriage to stillborn and early infant loss. Our services includes helping take care of your loved one, photography from a professional, keep sakes, funeral planning, financial assistance and more. As we team up with other ministries, we are able to offer grief support for the days and months to come. Loss comes unexpected and can leave you feeling shattered, allow us to help you make memories by preserving moments that you can cherish for the rest of your life.
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those crushed in spirit. Pslams 34:18.
Our Approach
We take a gentle approach during your time of loss. In such a time that is so short and heartbreaking, it is easy to not want to let anyone in. Inviting us to sit with you in your time of loss is sacred and special. With years of experience of loss and bereavement services under our belt, trust that you and your family are in good hands. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to serve a family during a time of loss and heartbreak.
